Multifuse®, MF-MSMF Series Fuses MF-MSMF014-2 utilizes the positive temperature coefficient property of the polymer material to automatically increase the resistance to limit the current when detecting overcurrent or overheating in the circuit, and restores the conduction state of the PTC Resettable Fuses automatically after the fault disappears.

Features

The Resistance - Initial (Ri) (Min) of MF-MSMF014-2 is 400 mOhms, which creates the conditions for efficient transmission under low resistance. When a circuit abnormality triggers the protection of this fuse, the resistance of MF-MSMF014-2 will increase to 6.5 Ohms, which now protects other parts from damage by the abnormal current. During normal operation, the operating temperature is normally maintained between -40°C ~ 85°C.

The maximum load current in normal working environment is 140mA, if it exceeds the limit value of 40A, the fuse will trigger the protection mechanism to limit the current. Its trip current is 340mA, which is the precursor of triggering protection, enhancing protection sensitivity and stability.

This fuse has a very fast response capability, when an abnormality occurs in the circuit, it can cut off the circuit within 150ms, preventing the fault from worsening.Voltage - Max is 60V, and belongs to the Polymeric type of PTC Resettable Fuses.
